About You

If you have always been involved in a church, if you grew up in a church been away for a while and now wanting to return, or if you have never belonged to a faith family, but now want to find out what it is all about, you will find those like you at Highlands Presbyterian.

A Place to Grow Spiritually

If you are looking for a group of people that seeks to follow Christ together, our sermons are based on the Scripture passages we read in worship, and we spend time in prayer for the congregation and for one another. We all have a next step in our lives of faith, and at Highlands, we’re listening for God to lead us forward.

A Sense of Community

If you are looking for a sense of community, you will find that the people of the congregation linger after worship to talk and to listen. We pray for one another and check-in with one another. Highlands doesn’t offer anonymity, but rather a community where you are known and invited to join our fellowship, both on Sundays and in various groups that meet throughout the month.

A Place for Families

If you are looking for a place where children are welcomed by name, our program for children and youth offers the chance for children to learn at their own pace. Children attend junior church during worship, where they’re taught Bible stories through a variety of different methods.

Making a Difference in the Community

If you want to be a part of a group that makes a difference in the world we live in, we seek to be good stewards of the gifts we have and use them to help others beyond our walls.  Whether we’re collecting food for the Smoky Row Food Pantry, making blankets for My Very Own Blanket, or gathering a group to walk in the CROP Walk, we seek to share the blessings we have.

Enjoying the Gift of Music

If music is important to you and your family and would like to participate actively in making music or listening, we also rejoice in the musical gifts of individuals and our community. Our organist leads us in worship on our Rodgers organ, our choir and musicians make a joyful noise to the Lord, and we host community concerts on the Second Sunday of the month for various musicians to use our space.

Emails will be responded to Tuesday – Friday, 8:30 AM – Noon.
